Danube Cycle Passau to Vienna 4 stars tour

Day 2: Passau to Schlogener Schlinge and surroundings – 40 kilometers
Before beginning your trip along the valley of the upper part of the Danube, you‘ll get some time to explore Passau, which is a stunning city at the junction of three rivers.

Day 3: Schlogener Schlinge and surroundings to Linz – 55 kilometers
Today you‘ll head out of the hilly forests and ride through Eferdinger Becken until you reach Linz, which is Upper Austria‘s capital city.

Day 4: Linz to Grein and surrounding – 60 kilometers
There‘s plenty to see in this part of your journey. You‘ll ride through Enns, which is Austria‘s oldest city, and see peaceful meadows before coming to Grein, a charming baroque town.

Day 5: Grein and surrounding to the Wachau valley – 70 kilometers
You‘ll love riding through the breathtaking landscapes of Nibelungengau and Strudengau until you come to Wachau Valley.

Day 6: Day 6: Melk to Krems through the Wachau valley ,  40 kilometers
This part of the tour takes you past popular villages like Weibenkirchen, Spitz or Dürnstein until you reach Krems. You may want to rest and enjoy some of the local cuisine in some of the wine taverns.

Day 7: Krems / surroundings to Vienna – 70 kilometers
Great last day of cycling, including the impressive entrance to Vienna by bike.

Some people tend to shorten the tour and take a train from Tulln to Vienna.

Day 8: End of tour
After the night in Vienna, the tour ends.
If you wish to have additional nights in Vienna, please let us know.

• If you intend to arrive via Vienna Int’l airport, you’ll need a train to Passau, cost € 51 per person
• If you intend to arrive from Vienna or leave a car at the beginning point (Passau), you’ll need a train from Vienna city, cost € 30 per person
• Otherwise you don’t need a train
